Just when we thought the internet couldn’t surprise us anymore, we then find a guy who built an electric guitar out of 36 packs of ramen noodles. And yes, it actually works too.
Art Mayer from Copper Guitars in Russia documented the costly and tedious process of creating something delicious to rock out with. He added five liters of polyester resin to the uncooked noodles (plus flavor packets) to turn them into a glass-like structure. We won’t spoil anything else for you, you just have to watch the video below.
It might sound like a gimmick at first but as the project comes together, you realize this guy’s totally serious and committed about making the first, and perhaps the ONLY, ramen noodle guitar. And somehow, he made it look so easy too. However, should you decide to take on a similar challenge, keep in mind that Mayer admitted that he “spent a catastrophic amount of time” and money on this. So, while ramen noodles are generally cheap, the rest aren’t. Plus, it takes some serious skills to build a working axe from scratch like the one he made.
And so the next question on everyone’s minds must be – how does it sound? You just have to watch until the end to find out.
