Chrissie Hynde Helps Kick Things Off Right

Stevie Nicks’ highly anticipated 24 Karat Gold Tour is up and running, beginning last week with a spirited hometown show in Stevie’s own Phoenix, Arizona that saw the rock legend dishing out favorites past and present, some that hadn’t seen the light of a stage in years and in some cases, not at all. Never a proper Stevie Nicks concert without a few surprises to keep the blood flowing and the excitement at an all time high, the earlier half of her Phoenix show saw her bring out Pretenders singer and old friend Chrissie Hynde to help her out with her 1981 smash hit, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around”.

Hynde, who tackled the vocal part typically sung by Tom Petty, was an excellent addition to this already classic song and when paired with her good friend Stevie, Chrissie takes “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” to another level entirely! If you missed the magic that was the opening night of the 24 Karat Gold Tour and Stevie’s out of this world duet with Chrissie Hynde, never fear: thanks to one devoted fan, we’ve got some great fan-shot footage for your viewing pleasure just below this article. Enjoy!
