It’s Jaw-Dropping

Marc Martel will always be an enigma to us. The guy’s oozing with talent, that’s a given. But what constantly baffles us is the fact that he looks AND sounds so much like Freddie Mercury. He’s not even remotely related to the late Queen frontman and yet his covers are always eerily accurate. A few seconds into the song, his vocal performance already gave us goosebumps.

Thus, it begs the question: why is he not touring with Queen yet? The band already acknowledged his massive talent by making him a part of tribute band Queen Extravaganza and he even contributed his voice to the hugely successful 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

“Queen offered all of their original tracks to the movie. The movie will be using a mixture of Freddie’s tracks and me and Rami. It will all be done in a way you can’t tell.” – Marc Martel

And so if you haven’t seen his take on the 1975 classic hit “Love of my Life”, you are seriously missing out. It’s so clean and simple yet extremely powerful. Of course it goes without saying that no one will ever replace or even come close to Freddie Mercury but with so many covers out there, this is the one that seriously gave justice to what Freddie created.

Marc Martel deserves more appreciation.
