Metallica recently reacted to one of the most memorable moments in the season four finale of Stranger Things, where their classic 1986 song “Master of Puppets,” was featured.

On Instagram, Metallica shared their take on the scene, when Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, embraced the power of rock ‘n roll and gave an outstanding guitar solo of the band’s song. They stated:

“The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include “Master of Puppets” in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it.

“We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away… it’s so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer!! How crazy cool is that?

“It’s an incredible honor to be such a big part of Eddie’s journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show.”

A snippet in the Stranger Things latest season went viral as Quinn’s character was rocking out his guitar solo to distract the creatures called demobats. Fans knew what song he was playing as the show is very well-known for its choice of music to incorporate the ’80s era that it is in and “Master of Puppets” was originally released on March 3, 1986.
