Who doesn’t want to get inside the tour bus of their favorite artist right? Now, fans of Dolly Parton can experience the life of the legendary singer by accessing her tour bus dubbed as Suite 1986. What does it cost? Let’s just say it begins at $10,000.
It’s not just available for a tour, people can also stay at Suite 1986 located at the Dollywood DreamMore Resort & Spa in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In a recent interview with Knox News, the iconic country singer shared why she decided to let fans stay on her tour bus saying:
“(I) decided to retire it because I wasn’t touring that much anymore and it just was sitting there and I thought this could be put to really good use.
“If you’ve got money — and a lot of people do — they just want to experience that.”
Although the price is pretty high, Parton has made it clear that a portion of the money from this new project will be going to a good cause. In an interview with WJHL-TV News Channel 11, Parton shared where the profit will go saying:
“All the money as you know goes to the Imagination Library, cause they’re charging a big price to stay in 1986 Suite, but that’s for a reason. That’s so all of the money can go to buy more books for more children for the Imagination Library.”
Parton’s Imagination Library is the book-gifting program that mails free books to young children around the world. The Suite 1986 is designed by the singer herself, it can accommodate two guests in the master bedroom and four additional people on the guest room. A VIP dining experience courtesy of the resort is also included on the package Parton’s fans will avail.
