In this video you will see a severely underrated, middle- aged man absolutely annihilating the pedal steel guitar with his daughter as she watches him shred with awe.

Sporting a few different tunes, including “Jingle Bells,” Milo Deering really knows how to treat this amazing instrument well. We do have to comment, however, that our favorite moment was the heavy buildup starting at minute 2:52, this dude seriously rocks!!

Interesting Fact: Pedal steels may have one or two “necks” that typically have 10 strings each, but may have as many as 14. Unlike most other guitars, pedal steel guitars have reference lines on the fretboard where frets would be, but no actual frets.

The only thing that could make this video better would be a tiny glimpse into the footwork that Milo is performing during the song, but she wanted to show a clear view of his hands all over and practically through the instrument and we don’t blame her.
