Sharon Osbourne has opened up about the emotional final hours she shared with her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, before his death in July. Speaking with honesty and grief, she explained the moment she realized she wished she had said more and held him closer when it mattered most.
A Late-Night Moment
During her appearance on the Dec. 10 episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon described how the night unfolded. She said Ozzy had been getting up throughout the night, and at around 4:30 a.m., he gently woke her. “He was up and down to the bathroom all night, and it was 4:30 a.m., and he said, ‘Wake up,’” she recalled tearfully. “I said, ‘I’m already bloody awake, you’ve woken me up.’”
She then shared his final tender request. “He said, ‘Kiss me,’” she continued. “And then he said, ‘Hug me tight.’” Sharon reflected on the moment with regret, admitting she wished she had responded with even more affection. “If only I’d have told him I loved him more,” she said. “If only I’d have held him tighter.”
The Final Morning
The next day turned out to be Ozzy’s last. Sharon explained that he suffered a heart attack shortly after finishing a brief workout. “I ran downstairs, and there he was,” she said. “They were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone.’”
Sharon and Ozzy, married since 1982, built a life together while raising their three children: Aimee, 42, Kelly, 41, and Jack, 40. The loss hit the entire family deeply.
Signs in the Days Before
Sharon also spoke about subtle but powerful signs she noticed in the days leading up to his death. She explained that Ozzy was having unusual dreams involving people he had never met. “He was ‘seeing people that he never knew’ in his dreams,” she said. Curious, she asked him who he was talking about. “I said, ‘Well, what kind of people?’” she recalled. “He goes, ‘All different people. And I just keep walking and walking, and I’m seeing all these different people every night, and I go back there and I’m looking at these people, and they’re looking at me, and nobody’s talking.’”
Sharon said these dreams felt meaningful. “He knew,” she added. “He was ready.”

A Family Searching for Peace
Even in their grief, the Osbourne family found a moment of hope. Jack Osbourne recently revealed that he and his wife, Aree Gearhart, are expecting their second child together, and he was able to share the news with his father before his passing. “It’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing,” Jack told The Sun. “It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”
