David Byrne has broadened his 2026 world tour in support of Who Is the Sky?, adding a fresh run of dates across Asia alongside an expanded slate of U.S. performances. The newly announced leg underscores Byrne’s continued global appeal, as the tour now stretches across North America, Europe, the U.K., and key cities throughout Asia.

Among the latest additions are high-profile American shows, including a two-night engagement at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, as well as further stops in California and New York. Following his European and U.K. appearances, Byrne will head to Asia, with scheduled performances in Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.

From Festival Highlights to Television Stages

The tour expansion follows Byrne’s widely celebrated appearance at Coachella, where he revisited Slippery People from the 1983 album Speaking in Tongues. The performance served as both a nod to his past and a reminder of his enduring stage presence.

He also brought new material to a broader audience with a recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, performing alongside his 12-member ensemble. The set highlighted Byrne’s ongoing commitment to ambitious live arrangements and collaborative performance.

A New Record with Familiar Collaborators

Who Is the Sky? marks Byrne’s first album since 2018’s American Utopia, a project that later evolved into both an HBO film and a Broadway production. The new release sees Byrne working with Kid Harpoon, who produced the album and helped shape its sonic direction.

The record also features contributions from Hayley Williams, St. Vincent, and Tom Skinner, bringing together a diverse group of collaborators that reflects Byrne’s genre-blurring sensibilities.
