You Can Vote Once A Day
Just a few days after the announcement of nominees for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020, Pat Benatar, The Doobie Brothers, and Soundgarden have taken the early lead. Almost two million votes have been already cast with Pat Benatar at the top garnering 181,258 votes. The Doobie Brothers follow her with 163,403 votes and Soundgarden a close third with 154,475 . All three of them are first-timers on the ballot.
Fourth and fifth place go to Depeche Mode with 136,374 and Judas Priest with 135,651.
President and CEO Greg Harris told USA Today, “For each vote cast, there’s probably a concert memory, there could’ve been a wedding dance, there could’ve been a high school experience tied to all of them, even those that are not in the top five, those fans have those memories and those connections and this music has been so central to our lives.”
The official inductees will be announced in January and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio on May 2, 2020. You can still vote once a day through January 10, 2020 and pick up to five nominees. The Hall will announce the winners shortly after the voting closes.
