Jon Bon Jovi recently disclosed the final song he would choose to perform if his illustrious performing career were to come to a close, surprising many with his unexpected selection.

With his future in the balance following vocal cord surgery in 2022, Bon Jovi’s ability to return to the stage remains uncertain. Despite being able to navigate the recording process for the upcoming Bon Jovi album “Forever” with patience, the prospect of extensive live performances still hangs in the balance.

When pressed by Classic Rock to name one last song to perform, Bon Jovi found himself in a quandary. “Oh my God – just one? That puts me on the spot!” he exclaimed. After a moment’s reflection, he settled on “These Days,” a choice he admitted most wouldn’t anticipate. Quoting poignant lyrics from the song that resonate deeply with him, Bon Jovi explained:

“I think that sort of encapsulates where I am at this moment in time.”

The Authenticity Behind the Bon Jovi Documentary Series

Meanwhile, a candid documentary series titled Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story is set to premiere, offering a raw and honest portrayal of the band’s journey. Bon Jovi emphasized the importance of transparency in the series, acknowledging the discomfort that comes with exposing the band’s history in its entirety. He stated:

“All I’ve ever wanted to sell was the truth.
“If you’re not gonna show it warts and all, don’t bother.”

Reflecting on his involvement in the documentary amidst personal challenges, including his unexpected health issue, Bon Jovi admitted that his focus had shifted to other pressing matters. He explained:

“Once I had realized that I’d handed the reins… I was solely focused on writing a record, and then this unexpected health issue that I had to deal with.
“So the last thing I was considering was, ‘How’s this documentary going?’ I had bigger fish to fry.”
