Trump Praises the New Restaurant
Kid Rock’s new restaurant in Nashville, The Detroit Cowboy, is already making headlines—and not just locally. The seafood spot, located in the Capitol View neighborhood, caught the attention of former President Donald Trump. On June 2, just before the restaurant’s opening, Trump took to Truth Social to show his support.
“I hear it is a very friendly MAGA establishment, and look forward to going there sometime soon!,” Trump wrote, congratulating Kid Rock and referring to him as “Bob.” The message matched the restaurant’s patriotic vibe and quickly gained attention online.
Kid Rock Responds to the Shoutout
Kid Rock, who has openly supported Trump and performed at the Republican National Convention, responded to the post with a brief message on X. “Thank you, Mr. President,” he wrote, showing appreciation for the public endorsement. The post helped boost talk around the restaurant’s grand opening.
The Detroit Cowboy is a rebrand of Joe Muer Seafood, a Detroit-based restaurant that first opened in Nashville in 2023. Now under Kid Rock’s style, the spot is described as a new kind of fine dining—with a twist.
Bringing a Different Flavor to Fine Dining
Kid Rock explained that the new version of the restaurant is fun and less formal. “The Vicaris and Joe Muer know fine dining, I know how to hang pictures, create a vibe and make things fun all while still holding two middle fingers up high for the haters,” Kid Rock said in a statement.
He continued, “To put it simply, I am here to take the foo-foo out of fine dining.” The comment sums up the style he’s aiming for—mixing good food with a laid-back, bold atmosphere. With both fans and critics watching closely, The Detroit Cowboy is already becoming a unique part of Nashville’s restaurant scene.
