The drummer from 70’s metal band, Quiet Riot, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The message was relayed through friend Mitch Lafon’s Facebook page as shown below. Banali was absent from a few shows this past year and there is reason why.

In the statement he reveals that he has been battling the cancer, but through chemo and other treatment he is on the mend. He plans on returning on the road and playing at the Whiskey A Go Go on October 26th. This announcement has come very close to the bands release of Hollywood Cowboys which is set to be released Nov. 8th. Banali is the last remaining member of the original Quiet Riot lineup. We wish him the best on his road to recovery. Rock on!
