Guns N’ Roses performed at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Vegas last Friday night and frontman Axl Rose took a nasty fall mid-performance. In a video from gossip site TMZ, it initially appears as though 57-year old Axl collapsed as he falls flat on his back in the middle of their 14-minute rendition of a Bob Dylan classic, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”. He went right back up though and continued as if nothing happened.
A few minutes later, he grabbed a towel from the side of the stage. He then proceeds to wipe the floor. So as it turns out, there was some liquid that caused him to slip and lose his balance.
Meanwhile, guitarist Slash confirmed on SiriusXM that they’re definitely dropping a new album soon, the much-awaited follow-up to 2008’s Chinese Democracy. He said, “I think at the end of the day, everybody wants to have a full album released. I donāt think thatās really changed all that much. But thereās a different way of putting stuff out initially nowadays more so than ⦠I mean, thereās always been the single, but now you sort of look at that preliminary release a little bit differently now.”
He added, “All things considered, itās like the Wild West out there; there is no formula for any of it. I havenāt seen any routine kind of thing that works. I mean, you can do any one of a million different things to releasing a record. But at the end of the day, I think that we will ultimately release a full album.”
