Ace Frehley, the legendary guitarist and former member of the iconic band Kiss, has recently shared exciting insights into his highly anticipated solo album, ‘10,000 Volts,’ set to hit the music scene in February 2024. In a candid interview with Nuvo, Frehley expressed his enthusiasm, declaring this album as his best work yet.
Collaborating closely with his talented friend, Steve Brown, formerly of Trixter and the mind behind Rubix Kube, Frehley revealed the creative synergy that defined this project.
“It’s probably the best record I’ve ever done,” Frehley enthused. “When he and I put our heads together, it just clicks. If I’m at a loss for a chord or a verse or a line, he comes up with it, and vice versa, and within three or four hours, we write a song.”
Originally intending to name the album ‘Walking on the Moon,’ Frehley had a change of heart after recording the electrifying track, “10,000 Volts.”
The album also boasts the remarkable presence of Anton Fig, Frehley’s former drummer, known for his contributions to Frehley’s original ’78 solo album and subsequent solo endeavors.

Frehley, who has released five solo albums since his career reboot in 2009, showcased his confidence in ‘10,000 Volts,’ dismissing doubts raised by former bandmates Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Frehley addressed the skepticism he faced, stating,
“They contradict themselves all the time. Now they’re putting me down and saying if I came up and played with them on the farewell tour, it would mar their performance. Well, when this album comes about, it’s gonna make him look like an imbecile.”
One of the standout features of ‘10,000 Volts’ is its consistency.
Frehley proudly declared,
“There’s really not a weak song on the record. Most people do a record, and they concentrate on three or four songs that they think might be singles, and then the rest of it is a lot of filler. But every song on this album I can hear on the radio. I hope DJs agree with me.”
Fans can eagerly anticipate the release of ‘10,000 Volts’ in February 2024, where Frehley’s electrifying guitar riffs and powerful collaborations promise a musical experience like no other. Stay tuned for an album that is bound to leave a lasting impression and solidify Ace Frehley’s status as a rock legend.
