In my humblest of humble opinions, rock songs are still the best music choices for trailers, especially classic rock songs. And the good thing is that we’re seeing it a lot more nowadays. For example, the trailer for The Mummy used Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones, Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 2 used The Chain by Fleetwood Mac, Thor: Ragnarok used Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin, and Justice League used Come Together by The Beatles.

The most recent example of perfect classic rock placement is the newly released trailer for Marvel’s ‘The Punisher‘ – a brand new Netflix series. The action in this badass new trailer is synchronized perfectly to Metallica’s One. As you’ll see from this awesome trailer, the folks at Netflix couldn’t’ve picked a better song, and judging from the looks of it, it looks like we’ll be seeing a LOT more of this song throughout the series!
