Take Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett’s uber extravagant San Francisco mansion. Let’s take a peek at this heavy metal treasure of a property that surely outshines many celebrity homes that have been pimped up on MTV’s Cribs. Located in the lavish enclave of the Sea Cliff neighborhood in the bay area, Hammett’s estate is surely fit for the modern rock royalty. Hammett’s Spanish Colonial-style house is vintage, built in 1926 with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms and breath taking view of China Beach. He bought the classic and totally wicked fancy abode in 2010 for a glittery price of $ 8 million. It is currently up for sale too, listed at $16 million, twice more expensive than how much Hammett got it for. The fanciness of the house itself boasts of holding many impressive records, being considered as the fourth most expensive listing in the city, and San Francisco is already the top 2 most expensive cities in the US. There’s no specific reason released to Hammett’s decision to sell it but just looking at these gorgeous photos of the house makes you just want to move in first thing in the morning. If you’re willing to put down $16 million worth of eternal mortgages, then why not!
