A Beautiful Tribute

The last year or so has been really difficult for the music community. So many great minds, talents and musicians have been lost in the last 12 months and change, it’s really hard to wrap your head around it. From David Bowie, to Prince, to George Michael to Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington, the music world has seen some giants leave the earth, and everyone has paid tribute to these amazing talents in one shape or form.

Recently, rock band 30 Seconds To Mars took the stage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival, and performed a beautiful medley of songs written by some of these amazing talents! Lead singer Jared Leto opened with “Purple Rain,” but in the chorus, he bled into Bowie’s ‘Heroes.” Many thought this was the perfect tribute, but Leto wasn’t finished yet. He blended in Michael’s “Freedom,” and In the outro of the song, he weaved in Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” as well as a small snippet of Linkin Park’s “Crawling.” It’s honestly one of the best tributes and mash-ups we’ve seen, and we truly love Leto for bringing us this!
