He’s Enlisting Fans’ Help
In a new video, Jon Bon Jovi is asking fans for help in writing a new song titled “Do What You Can” which will be based on people’s personal struggles and experiences amidst the coronavirus outbreak. He already wrote the first verse and chorus but he needs others to fill in the other lines with their own stories.
He says, “These are trying times weโre going through: uncharted territory, the great unknown. But one thing is for sure, weโre going to make it through. I did what I do best which was to sit down with my guitar and try to put something in words for you, maybe to brighten up your day.
“Hereโs my idea: We write this one together. Iโm going to give you the chorus and the first verse. Iโm going to play the second verse, but you tell me your story. Tell me what youโre going through. Tell me how youโre feeling. Tell me if youโre hurting.”
He played a bit of the song and also sang the chorus which goes “When you canโt do what you do/You do what you can/This ainโt my prayer/Itโs just a thought Iโm wanting to send/Round here we bend but donโt break/Down here we all understand/When you canโt do what you do/You do what you can.”
Bon Jovi is slated to release their latest album titled “Bon Jovi 2020” this May 15.
