Yngwie Malmsteen Slays Like No One’s Business
Everything Yngwie Malmsteen does is perfect. He wouldn’t be called the “greatest shredder of all time” for nothing. Yngwie’s skill and technique has never been and can never be emulated. Man, we can only hope someone comes close to him. No words needed for his performance. It’s just him and his guitar and that’s the perfect combo, IMO.
Yngwie Malmsteen wrote and composed “Far Beyond The Sun” and it was originally released on March 5, 1984 for his first studio album “Rising Force.”
Steve Huey at AllMusic gave Rising Force four stars out of five, calling it “a revelation upon its release” and “The true inauguration of the age of the guitar shredder.” He praised Malmsteen’s technique and “blinding virtuosity”.
I don’t know which one I love more about Yngwie’s music — the crisp fast precise sound or his legendary clean tone. Either way, it’s always a treat watching him perform. And that crazy scale starting at 04:36 is out of this world!
