A Beatles film without The Beatles?

That sounds like a pretty bad idea on paper. But after watching this trailer, we’re convinced that we’re definitely going to watch this movie!

The Beatles’ extensive music catalogue is as legendary as the band members themselves. They were innovators and they managed to break new grounds with every album. Replicating success was never easy and yet they proved over and over again that they could always do better than the last. And when critics were convinced they were creatively drained, they went ahead and churned out one of the greatest records ever made.

And it goes without saying that they have more than twenty iconic songs that transcend time and generation. Following that, what if you suddenly woke up and found out that John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr never existed? What if you realize you now live in a world that has never heard of them or their music?

That’s basically the whole premise of this film called “Yesterday.” It’s the story of Jack Malik, a struggling singer-songwriter who only wanted a successful career in music. As he was on the brink of giving up, he got involved in a car accident. After which, The Beatles’ whole existence was totally wiped out.

It’s a charming, refreshing and intriguing plot – one that would even pique the interest of non-Beatles fans. It also seems lighthearted and has that overall feel-good vibe. And the best part? It will contain some of our favorite Beatles classic hits.

Yup, we’re already looking forward to this musical comedy!
