As if it needed to be said, Steven Tyler was, is, and always will be simply one of the most beloved and cherished rock stars of all time. Beyond just his amazing music and performances, Tyler is the kind of guy that’ll stand out in the pouring rain just to sign autographs or go out of his way to seek out that one talented fan in the crowd and sing an impromptu duet with him/her. He’s just the best, pure and simple.

Among many other things, Tyler is not afraid to open up to others and give a little insight to who he is and offer a look into his past. Known for being one of the most candid and honest rock stars, Tyler truly opened up during a very special episode of ‘OBJECTified’.

It was during this episode that the host Harvey Levin asked Tyler if his past drug use made him a better musician, he gave his honest answer, but then started to tear up as he veered off into a different answer. See for yourself below.
