The Making of Their Latest Album
Whitesnake just released a behind-the-scenes video for the making of their 2019 album “Flesh & Blood”. It was released on May 10. And while it didn’t crack the top 20 in the US Billboard 200, it did peak at #7 on the UK Albums chart. It was also a hit in several countries.
2019 was a busy year for the band since they also embarked on a tour in support of “Flesh & Blood.” David Coverdale told Heavy Consequence, “Itโs so interesting though, because we have such an incredible, loyal audience, and theyโve stuck with David Coverdale and Whitesnake through thick and thin.”
He also added, “And it also helps these people to go, โWow, theyโre still relevant. Theyโre still writing songs that are as strong as the songs on Slide It In or the โ87 album.โ Itโs very important as a musician or as an artist to feel that your audience feels that youโre relevant, for you to feel relevant, and that youโre not just going out there, treading on past glories.”
Meanwhile, they’ve extended their European tour – with stops at Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Czech Republic, and Switzerland. They’re also set to release a limited-edition 12-inch picture-disc single of โAlways & Foreverโ backed with โAfter Allโ this February 14.
