Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators performed the song “The River Is Rising” off their new album “4” on the February 2 episode of ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The new record will be released on Friday, February 11 and they are set to launch a North American tour in support of “4” in Portland, OR on February 8. After that tour, Slash will go back to the road with his band Guns n’ Roses in May.

Before the rocking performance, Slash sat down with Kimmel for an interview where they talked about Slash finally getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, growing up in Hollywood, going to clubs on the Sunset Strip with a fake ID at 15 years old.

He told a story about getting into a club named Rainbow and showing a fake ID but wasn’t allowed to go in. He said he decided to go home and put some make up on and change into his mom’s clothes. He went back to the club knowing that it’s ladies’ night and when the bouncer saw him dressed as a girl, he let him in.

Slash also shared about his two teenage sons, one is the 17-year-old who’s an artist and doing NFT’s. While the other one is a 19-year-old who’s a drummer in a band called Saint Electric.

Kimmel joke about the long name of the band and the short name for the album. Slash then explained that it started as a solo project with just his name on it until he met Myles and the rest of the band that was added to their group’s name, they call it SMKC for short.
