Check It Out

Peter Frampton pays tribute to George Harrison with his own take on the classic “Isn’t It A Pity” featured on his upcoming album titled “Frampton Forgets The Words” out on April 23. Armed with his guitar, he plays with his backing band. Along with this instrumental cover is a music video that gives us a glimpse of Frampton’s life during quarantine. There are also clips of him going home after a show in 2019 and later finding out that the rest of his tour dates have been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Then we get a peek into his daily life in lockdown – opening his freezer and counting the boxes of frozen pizzas before cooking one, playing with coins alone, rolling on the floor, lifting weights in his bedroom, and keeping in touch with his family via Zoom. Like the rest of us, he’s trying to keep himself busy. Then the video ends with Frampton excitedly sharing the news that he got his second vaccine shot against COVID-19.

In a statement, Frampton said: “We have all been in the same boat for over a year now. Our video lets you into my world of lockdown and possibly yours too. I think we can all relate.”
