Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed live together for the first time in four years. They were musical guests on Saturday Night Live and they previously appeared on the show in 2015.
They played “Ghosts” and “I’ll See You In My Dreams” which are both featured on their latest album titled “Letter To You” released last October 23. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, some of the band members were not present including founding bassist Garry Tallent and violinist Soozie Tyrell. The Boss tweeted that “Garry and his family are fine as is Soozie, but we thank Jack Daley of the Disciples of Soul for sitting in.”

The SNL lineup included Bruce Springsteen, guitarists Patti Scialfa, Nils Lofgren and Steven Van Zandt, drummer Max Weinberg, keyboardists Roy Bittan and Charles Giordano, saxophonist Jake Clemmons and bassist Jack Daley.
Springsteen said about the album, “I love the emotional nature of Letter to You. And I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.”
