British band Uriah Heep is one of the very few that stayed absolutely true to who they were throughout their career: pure rock and roll.
Performing hit “Easy Livin'” in 1973, the band really brings the volume and the energy as they always did. From second studio album, Demons and Wizards, “Easy Livin” reached #39 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Interesting Quote: “There was a ton of enthusiasm, a great deal of determination. None of us really knew much about what lay ahead of us, we didn’t really think too much about it but we knew we wanted to make a noise and we wanted it to be a noise that lots of people would like. We wanted to sell lots of records, but we didn’t know how to go about it, all we knew what to do in those days was how to make loud rock and roll music.” – Ken Hensley
Just one year after its release, in the heat of their prime, a talented Uriah Heep delivers this breathtaking/ hardcore love song about something we should all live by… easy living’. Enjoy!
+ Easy Livin’ Lyrics +
This is a thing I’ve never known before
It’s called easy livin’
This is a place I’ve never seen before
And I’ve been forgiven
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find ya
Day after day on the windy road I had walked behind ya
Easy livin and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Waiting, watching
Wishing my whole life away
Dreaming, thinking
Ready for my happy day
And some easy livin’!
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you
Day after day on the windy road I had walked behind you
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
