“Unnerving” Is The Word That Best Describes What Bruce Springsteen Just Wrote To His Fans…
The Foreword To Bruce Springsteen’s Upcoming Memoir Is Truly Epic… In A Scary Way!
Bruce Springsteen‘s upcoming memoir Born To Run is set to be released this year on September 27th, and as you can imagine, this release will detail the rockstar’s life and the story of his success. It will also, most likely, follow all the dark times in his life. There really is no story without its dark chapters. So to give us a glimpse of what to expect in what is being speculated to be an amazing memoir, Bruce Springsteen himself released the official foreword, and it’s awesome… and kinda creepy. Here it is.
“I come from a boardwalk town where almost everything is tinged with a bit of fraud. So am I. By 20, no race-car-driving rebel, I was a guitar player on the streets of Asbury Park and already a member in good standing amongst those who ‘lie’ in service of the truth … artists, with a small ‘a.’ But I held four clean aces. I had youth, almost a decade of hard-core bar band experience, a good group of homegrown musicians who were attuned to my performance style and a story to tell.”
What do think of this foreword? And more importantly what kind of tone do you think this sets for his entire story? To put it simply, there isn’t a whole lot that we as fans don’t already know about Bruce Springsteen. That is… we THINK we know. We may come to find out a LOT more about the rock legend, so mark your calendars for September 27th!
