Meanwhile, The Academy of Country Music ceremony which was postponed last year and moved to September is now set to take place in Nashville on Sunday, April 18. It will be broadcast live from three iconic venues – the Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe. List of performers and the hosts are yet to be announced. However, the producers are promising “exciting performances, unprecedented collaborations, surprising moments and more.”
They also assured everyone that they will adhere to pandemic protocols to keep the attendees safe “along with additional safety measures.”
CEO of the Academy of Country Music Damon Whiteside thanked the three aforementioned iconic venues for “welcoming us back to Nashville, where we can look out for the safety of our artists while shining a spotlight on this vibrant city after a tough 2020.”
