The Eagles Add Two UK Dates To Hotel California Tour

Addition To Their Multi-City Trek

The Eagles just announced the addition of two shows at the Wembley Stadium in London on August 29 and 30. The lineup of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit, the late Glenn Frey’s son Deacon Frey and Vince Gill will perform the iconic 1976 LP “Hotel California” in its entirety.

This year, they performed the album in full on three sold-out Las Vegas shows at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. They were accompanied by an orchestra and a choir during the concerts.

Hotel California sold more than 32 copies worldwide and was certified 26× Platinum by the RIAA.

Talking about the themes, Don Henley said: “They’re the same themes that run through all of our work: loss of innocence, the cost of naiveté, the perils of fame, of excess; exploration of the dark underbelly of the American dream, idealism realized and idealism thwarted, illusion versus reality, the difficulties of balancing loving relationships and work, trying to square the conflicting relationship between business and art; the corruption in politics, the fading away of the Sixties dream of “peace, love and understanding.””
