The Album That Costs More Than Most Cars? Yep, That’s Vinnie Vincent’s New Release
Former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent has returned with another unusual plan to release his long-delayed album Guitarmaggedon. After an earlier attempt failed to gain enough support, Vincent is now offering the entire album for $2 million, giving one buyer the chance to control how it is released.
The idea follows months of uncertainty around the project. Fans have waited years for new material from Vincent, but his methods for sharing it have drawn attention as much as the music itself. His latest proposal places the album among the most expensive music releases ever offered.
A Plan That Didn’t Work Out
In late 2025, Vincent introduced a pay-per-song model. He planned to sell each track for $200, but only if 1,000 fans agreed to buy it. Once that goal was reached, the song would be completed and delivered. If all tracks sold, the approach could have brought in large earnings.
However, the plan did not gain enough buyers. Without reaching the required number of purchases, the project stalled. Vincent responded by warning that the album might never be released. “Unless I get compensated for my work, the album stays unheard,” he declared in January. “It comes down to this; if the fan support is not there which it does not appear to be, this record will not be released.
“Am I fine with that? Absolutely. 100%,” Vincent continued. “It will be the greatest album of all time, never to be heard, never to be released. If people want my music, and think they’re punishing me by not buying it because of the price, it matters not to me. They’re the ones who will lose out.”
A New $2 Million Offer
On March 15, Vincent presented a different plan. Instead of selling songs individually, he is offering the full album for $2 million. The buyer would receive ten finished tracks along with artwork and production materials. The package also includes the ability to release the music in different formats.
In a Facebook post, Vincent explained that the buyer will get “10 songs mixed in master, final product format, all the master files of the artwork, related posters, and 10 separate vinyl and CD packaging art for each individual song, should the buyer choose to release the album on a per-song basis.
“The buyer can choose to release the entire album in any format they desire … vinyl, CD, or any other configuration, in whole or in part, at their discretion. … The price will also include a perpetual license to use the brand name ‘Vinnie Vincent Invasion’ and ‘Vinnie Vincent’ for the life of the album.”

Questions Around the Deal
The offer includes several limits that may affect potential buyers. Vincent noted that “All marketing plans and ideas require approval by Vinnie Vincent. The price does not include any right, title, or interest in the copyrights and/or trademarks related to Vinnie Vincent or the product itself. If the buyer wishes to purchase any associated rights in the compositions, a separate agreement can be arranged and negotiated.”
Details about exclusive distribution rights and how long the agreement lasts are not clearly defined. These open points may require further discussion before any sale moves forward.
