A Midwest Team-Up Takes Shape
Styx and Cheap Trick have announced a joint tour set for May 2026, bringing two long-running rock acts together for a short but focused run. The tour will cover a series of Midwest stops and is scheduled to last just over a week.
The joint dates begin on 5/16 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and wrap up on 5/23 in Lincoln, Nebraska. While brief, the run comes during an already packed year for both bands, each of whom has lined up extensive touring on their own.
Busy Schedules on Both Sides
Both groups, originally formed in Illinois, are entering 2026 with full calendars. Cheap Trick has already confirmed 21 shows across the first four months of the year, tied to their 2025 album All Washed Up. The record was met with strong fan response and returned the band to active touring mode.
Styx is equally busy. The band released Circling From Above in 2025 and has scheduled 26 shows ahead of the Cheap Trick dates. They have also confirmed a large co-headlining summer tour with Chicago, keeping them on the road well into late summer.
Styx: Early 2026 Tour Dates
Styx begins 2026 with a heavy January schedule. The tour opens on 1/7 in Tucson, Arizona, followed by shows on 1/9 and 1/10 in Phoenix. The band then plays Highland, California, on 1/13 and 1/14.
A long Las Vegas stretch follows, with dates on 1/23, 1/24, 1/28, 1/30, and 1/31. February brings Southeastern stops, including 2/20 in Augusta, 2/21 in Savannah, 2/22 in Pompano Beach, 2/24 in Orlando, and 2/25 in Estero.
