Listen To Her Read Love Letters
Stevie Nicks may not be releasing any new music any time soon, but she did lend her distinctive voice to an advertisement from Las Vegas gaming company Station Casinos.
The video is titled “From Vegas With Love”. Nicks read love letters, but none of her songs was used in the campaign. Instead, it featured music by The Youngbloods — their 1966 classic hit “Get Together”.
“We believe that ‘From Vegas With Love’ is a relevant, light-hearted love letter to the people who live and stay in Las Vegas – that will continue to bring locals together and create a greater connection throughout our beloved city,” Bob Finch, Chief Operating Officer of Station Casinos said in a statement. “And as our billboard says: Been here, still here, staying here.”
According to a press release, Nicks was chosen because of “her relationship and appreciation for the city, fondly recollected through the countless performances and time spent in Las Vegas.”
Back in August, Nicks canceled her tour because of Covid fears. She explained that she was vaccinated, but at her age, she was “being extremely cautious.”
“These are challenging times with challenging decisions that have to be made,” she said. “I want everyone to be safe and healthy and the rising Covid cases should be of concern to all of us.”
