“Portrait Duet”
In between announcing Aerosmith’s eventual farewell and working on his upcoming solo country debut, Steven Tyler stepped onto the small screen once again – this time, filming the sequel to his well loved and absolutely hilarious Skittles commercial that aired earlier this year during the Super Bowl. This time, Tyler sings a duet of his hit song “Red, White, And You” with a portrait of himself made entirely out of Skittles and tries not to laugh as the Skittles portrait laments that he’ll never know what it’s like to be the real Steven Tyler and the words “I’ll never wear leather pants, become proficient with nunchucks or even write a song” become just as hilarious as you thought they’d be, especially in that order!
All in all, Steven’s appearance in this Skittles commercial is absolutely adorable, and besides – who doesn’t love hearing “Red, White, And You” whenever possible? Check out the commercial in the video below and see how Steven’s “duet” with his Skittles portrait comes together…or in this case, falls apart.
