Make That Four Somethings

Last year saw Santana’s classic era lineup reunite, offering up a brand new album, a string of sold out shows and a live album chronicling the band’s stint at the Las Vegas House of Blues. For 2017 Santana hit the ground running with a handful of tours in  Australia and New Zealand before hitting Japan in April only to come back in early summer for a round of shows at the Las Vegas House of Blues, flowing beautifully into their highly anticipated summer Transmogrify tour, announced earlier this week to great fanfare.

There’s only one problem, though – something, or shall we say four somethings, is missing from the festivities; this round of dates unfortunately will not include keyboardist and singer Gregg Rolie, guitarist Neal Schon, percussionist Michael Carabello or drummer Michael Shrieve. We’re not quite sure why just yet, but since Neal Schon will be on the road touring with Journey and Asia, it’s pretty safe to assume that the absence of Rolie, Carabello and Shrieve can also be attributed to conflicting summer schedules and not something indicative of a problem within the band. Either way, we’re looking forward to seeing Santana rock hard all summer long and we hope to see you out there!
