At The Eddie Money Tribute Show

Sammy Hagar honored Eddie Money at the recent all-star benefit concert which is set to premiere on AXS TV this March 22 at 9PM ET. Hagar performed Money’s 1982 classic hit “Shakin'” from the platinum-certified LP “No Control.” Proceeds from the event benefited MusiCares and the USC Eddie Money Cancer Research Fund. Filmed at The Canyon at The Saban in Beverly Hills on February 20, it was hosted by actor and comedian Louie Anderson.

The two-hour show also saw performances of Money’s other timeless tracks – “Save A Little Room” by John Waite, “Think I’m In Love” by Kevin Cronin and Dave Amato, and “Baby Hold On” by James Hetfield. It marked Hetfield’s first public performance since his rehab stay last year.

Eddie Money’s wife Laurie said: “AXS TV was a big part of our lives for the past two years while we shot ‘Real Money’ and we are so pleased to have them onboard as the exclusive home for Eddie’s memorable tribute event. We are so excited that others will now have the opportunity to witness the outpouring of love and support that Eddie and our family received from his music peers through this concert.”
