A wave of global intrigue is building around one of rock’s most enduring bands, as visual clues strongly suggest a new release from The Rolling Stones may be on the way.

Worldwide clues spark speculation

Over the past week, fans have spotted unusual billboards and posters appearing across multiple countries. Instead of a straightforward announcement, the campaign displays the phrase “Foreign Tongues” in different languages depending on location.

These posters have been seen in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Germany, and Australia. The shifting translations and coordinated rollout quickly fueled online discussion, with many interpreting it as a deliberate teaser for a new album.

Interest intensified when Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood shared images from the billboard locations on April 26. Their posts included globe and eye emojis, reinforcing the idea that the rollout is official without giving direct confirmation.

The move was subtle but widely taken as a signal that something significant is in development.

Early release hints surface

Earlier in the month, the band quietly released a vinyl-only single under the alias “The Cockroaches.” The track, titled “Rough & Twisted,” added to growing speculation that new music was being prepared behind the scenes.

A preview of the song includes the lyric: “Why don’t you teach me / Teach me all those foreign tongues?”—a line that now appears closely linked to the rumored album title.

Reports from fan communities and music insiders suggest that Foreign Tongues could arrive on July 10, 2026. Some sources have gone further, describing it as potentially the band’s 25th and final studio album, though this has not been officially confirmed.

If accurate, it would follow their 2023 release Hackney Diamonds, which marked their first album of new material since 2005. That record included collaborations with major artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Lady Gaga.

The album went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album at the 67th ceremony, beating strong competition from acts including The Black Keys, Fontaines D.C., Pearl Jam, Green Day, IDLES, and Jack White.

Touring plans still unclear

While anticipation for new music is rising, questions remain about whether the band will tour again. Their last live run took place in North America in 2024, but no UK or global dates have been announced since.

A source quoted in reports noted that the band members are aware of their age and are taking a cautious approach. Promotional appearances are expected, but a full tour is not currently planned.

For now, the campaign remains carefully controlled, revealing just enough to fuel speculation without confirming details. Whether Foreign Tongues becomes a farewell record or simply the next chapter, The Rolling Stones continue to shape expectations in their own unmistakable way.
