He Apologized To Those Who Already Purchased The Tickets
A little over a month after he announced his “Live and Kicking” U.S. Solo Tour, The Who’s Roger Daltrey has canceled the dates. The trek was supposed to kick off on August and in his announcement, he revealed that his setlist will include “some Who hits, a few rarities and some solo hits”.
“When I booked these shows several months ago, I was confident that things would be back to normal by August,” he said in a statement posted on Facebook, “but due to the uncertainty of the current travel situation and the challenges for a U.K. act to be able to perform in the USA, I have reluctantly decided to cancel the shows.”
Even so, he plans to “re-book them in the near future” and has offered his apologies to those who already bought the tickets.
“I do appreciate your support and can’t wait to get back to work once the time is right,” he added.
Both Daltrey and Pete Townshend are eager to get back on the road and perform again. They had booked performances in 2020 but the pandemic has derailed their touring plans. They’ve yet to announce the rescheduled dates of the shows.
