But He’ll Keep On Making Music

In mid-2020, David Crosby revealed that he was suffering from tendonitis, a condition wherein a tendon becomes inflamed following a tendon injury. It results in stiffness, joint pain, and it affects how a tendon moves. In his 2020 Rolling Stone interview, he said that he sought treatment but it didn’t work. Because of that, he “may never play guitar again.”

Now in a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, he didn’t shy away from admitting that he’s “[at] the end of my life” and that “it’s a very strange thing”.

“And here’s what I’ve come to [think] about it: It’s not how much time you got, because we really don’t know,” he said. “I could have two weeks, I could have 10 years. It’s what you do with the time that you do have. And so I’m trying to really spend it well.”

He clarified that while his health is “generally good”, he also had some issues such as the limited movement of his fingers.

“I am losing my ability to play guitar – that’s kinda tough,” he revealed. “I got another year or so of being able to play. And I can teach my parts to somebody else if I really wanna play that bad.”

“I don’t know if I’m gonna play anymore,” he added.

Even so, he will continue making music and he even has “two records planned”. His upcoming album titled “For Free” arrives on July 23.
