Digital radio platform SiriusXM is launching channels dedicated to classic rock titans like David Bowie, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Guns ‘N Roses, Metallica and The Rolling Stones which launches on May 1. And they’re also extending free access to their premium service until the end of May – it was previously only until May 15. They’re definitely going above and beyond to keep their listeners entertained during the coronavirus lockdown.

The channels will feature “career-spanning hits, rare recordings, interviews, and more.”

SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein said in a statement, “It’s like catching lightning in a bottle for SiriusXM to be able to offer authorized channels from these iconic artists, not only to our subscribers, but at a time when our app is free to everyone. These channels, combined with our already incredible set of artist-dedicated channels, makes SiriusXM the ultimate audio destination to bring fans closer to the artists they love, and at a time when people can use some great music.”

Aside from their greatest hits, rarities and deep cuts will also be included in the channels. As for Rolling Stones, their channel debuted in 2008 but has now been updated and expanded.
