This man made David Gilmour extremely proud
On a beautiful Italian evening, this unknown street performer set up shop in front of the Pantheon, one of Rome’s most iconic landmarks. The man set up his amplifier, and plugged in his rugged fender strat, and rang off an incredible rendition of Pink Floyd’s classic “Comfortably Numb.” In addition, he showcased his phenomenal voice, which, if you close your eyes, sounds incredibly similar to David Gilmour and Roger Waters.
Fun Fact: Roger Waters wrote the lyrics. While many people thought the song was about drugs, Waters claims it is not. The lyrics are about what he felt like as a child when he was sick with a fever. As an adult, he got that feeling again sometimes, entering a state of delirium, where he felt detached from reality.
We absolutley love this performance, and really wish that we knew this man’s name! What’s so great about this, is that he’s in the middle of the street playing music solely for the purpose of making people smile and bring joy to their lives. He’s an amazing talent, and we really hope that he’s able to be discovered soon!
