Journey is cutting this really close
Believe it or not, but the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a month away. The event is scheduled for April 7th at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York, and will see the inductions of Yes, Electric Light Orchestra, Joan Baez, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur and Journey.
The biggest question leading up to this prestigious event, is the conundrum on whether Journey’s original lead vocalist Steve Perry will show up. Fans are praying for Steve to reunite for the special occasion, and Journey may be stuck in a rough spot if he decides to pass on the event. The Hall might not allow current lead singer Arnell Pineda to sing with the band, because of restrictions on how long he’s been a member of Journey.
Fun Fact: The moniker “The Voice” was originally coined by Steve Perry’s friend Jon Bon Jovi.
Guitarist Neal Schon took to twitter to give an update on Perry’s status for the event, and from what we can see, it’s still at a standstill.
Ok I’ve answered this a million times…. he has my number. I’ve reached out many many times. https://t.co/f7gDePfhMu

Hopefully Steve responds and at least gives us an answer! We’d love to see a reunion, but if it’s not possible, it would be nice to have some closure. Here’s hoping for the best!
