Neal Schon recently commented harshly through a tweet about Steve Perry‘s decision to sue the band.
Journey has remained in the headlines with their conflicts in recent years, starting with a case opened by Schon and Jonathan Cain against Ross Valory and Steve Smith. Now, the band’s former lead vocalist Perry filed a petition against Schon and Cain over the trademarks of 20 Journey songs.
As per Perry, Schon and Cain filed to register some of the band’s biggest hits for commercial purposes without his “consent.” When the news reached Schon, he immediately fired back at Perry through his social media platform. The guitarist said that it is a “total crap” and said that his aim was to protect the band by acting to register.
Apparently, Schon was not yet done. He recently targeted Perry in a new tweet. Schon wrote:
“Emotions get the better of you.”
Then he explained that it has unpleasant consequences. He brought back the subject to music and described jealousy as a “real sickness.” Clearly, he was targeting Perry’s recent legal action against the band. He thought that the singer is overwhelmed by his emotions, causing him to make a false move. Schon tweeted:
“Sometimes your emotions get the better of you, but like anything that’s funky, you lose it, and it all disappears – forever music, back to the music. Jealousy is a real sickness.”
