You’d be surprised at what your favorite public figures consider their favorite type of music. For example, did you know that heavy metal is the favorite music of Prince Harry, or that Jim Carrey’s favorite band is Cannibal Corpse? Oh it’s true, it’s damn true… in the words of Kurt Angle, but anyway…
This past Thursday in Bangor, Maine, Rancid played to a packed outdoor crowd in the pouring rain and as you could imagine, the show was amazing. Little did everyone know just which legendary author was in attendance.

As it turns out, Stephen King is a huge Rancid fan. The king of horror is no stranger to the unpredictable, but we never saw this coming! Then again, it just makes Stephen King all the more cooler, if he wasn’t the coolest dude around, already.
