Jon Bon Jovi Reveals He Hasn’t Been Faithful In His Marriage

Jon Bon Jovi recently reflected on his enduring 34-year marriage to Dorthea Hurley, shedding light on past speculation surrounding infidelity, notably referenced in his 1993 song, “Bed of Roses.”

In an interview with The Independent, Bon Jovi emphasized the importance of taking responsibility for his mistakes in sustaining their relationship. He remarked:

“These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom.
“It’s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to f–k up the home life, either.”

The couple exchanged vows at the Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas in 1989, after kindling their romance as high school sweethearts at Sayreville War Memorial High School in New Jersey. Reflecting on their spontaneous decision to marry, Bon Jovi recalled, “We had the No. 1 album, the No. 1 single, and we were playing three nights at the Forum in LA… What’s better than this, right now, this moment?” Their impromptu Las Vegas wedding remains a cherished memory for the couple.

Approaching their 35th anniversary, Bon Jovi attributes the success of their marriage to Hurley’s patience and tolerance over the years. He also credits their enduring bond to a “mutual admiration society” and the privilege of growing up together.

In “Bed of Roses,” Bon Jovi candidly acknowledges his past indiscretions. The lyrics vividly depict his struggle with infidelity:
