John Fogerty Sells His California Home Of Inspiration In The Tune Of $21.5m

Once again, legendary rock musician John Fogerty is in the news, but not for his songs. The lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival has put his breathtaking Hidden Hills, California mansion up for auction, with a price tag of an astounding $21.5 million.
Nestled behind private gates, the 2.26-acre compound features a main estate that has been expertly designed and completely updated. Listing agent Jordan Cohen of Re/Max One refers to Fogerty’s property—which she purchased from actor Sylvester Stallone for $17.2 million just a year earlier in 2023—as “one of the most unique, special, and private properties in all of Hidden Hills.” A separate guest house, a large private riding arena fit for pros, a 4-stall barn with a stable and tack room, and a cabana/pool house are just a few of the many more facilities.

Last year marked a significant milestone for Fogerty as well. After years of legal battles, he finally gained worldwide control of his Creedence Clearwater Revival publishing rights by acquiring a majority interest from Concord. Though the details of the deal remain undisclosed, Fogerty expressed his satisfaction, telling Billboard:
“The happiest way to look at it is, yeah, it isn’t everything. It’s not a 100% win for me, but it’s sure better than it was. I’m really kind of still in shock. I haven’t allowed my brain to really, actually, start feeling it yet.”
