Joe Bonamassa is at it again covering Jimi’s iconic hit “Are You Experienced” while channeling his own style, mixed with the guitarist gods that inspire him.
“Maybe now you can’t hear them, but you will if you just take hold of my hand. Ah! But Are You Experienced?”
Being one of the most recognizable The Jimi Hendrix Experience songs, Joe really nails both the musical and vocal parts of this song with ease, while rocking his killer shades.
Interesting Fact: Joe’s favorite guitar is a ’59 Les Paul Sunburst, a “Holy Grail” that he actually takes on the road with him.
When you hear Joe singing this ballad, you really cannot help/ picture but hear Jimi singing it instead, just because it is just one of those that only Jimi could sing to. Know what we mean? But, don’t get us wrong- Joe does a fantastic job!
