Look At Those Cymbals!

At 10 years old, Alex Shumaker just might be the next great American rock and roll drummer. With only 5 years of playing under his belt, Alex goes above and beyond your regular, run of the mill drum cover with his very own studio area decorated with rock memorabilia from bands he both admires and has met over the years as well as strobe lights, and from behind his absolutely massive drum kit channels the spirit of 80s rockers everywhere with a high energy take on Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine”.  Where other kids his age are pretty reserved behind the kit, Alex is a ball of energy – playing while standing at times and choosing to sit and sing along for others, making for a good old fashioned rock and roll show from the comfort of his own home in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

Regardless of where his talent takes him, one thing is clear: Alex has an incredibly bright future ahead of him, and if he keeps up that million dollar smile and fierce dedication to his craft, the sky’s the limit! Check out this extremely talented young man – we dare you not to rock right along with him.
