The highly anticipated Season 23 finale of The Voice took place on Tuesday, May 23rd, delivering a thrilling night filled with captivating performances by special guests and the talented Top 5 contestants. Furthermore, the evening included heartfelt tributes dedicated to Blake Shelton, who made the decision to retire from the show, marking the end of coaching for all of its 23 seasons.
The Night Where History Was Made
Following all the mesmerizing performances, the long-awaited announcement of the Season 23 winner of The Voice was finally announced, fulfilling the eager anticipation of viewers throughout the entire season.
Host Carson Daly began by revealing the fifth-place artist which was NOIVAS from Team Blake. He then proceeded to announce the fourth and third place, namely Sorelle from Team Chance and D. Smooth from Team Kelly.
This narrowed down the competition to the last two contestants on stage, Grace West, who is also from Team Blake, and Gina Miles, from Team Niall. As the two ladies showed displayed nervous smiles to the audience while holding each other’s hand, Daly continued to announce the most important revelation of the night.
“By the way, this was the closest margin of victory in Voice history,” he declared.
The Moment of Truth
With excitement in his voice, he then announced the name of the artist who won the competition. It was none other than Gina Miles from Team Niall.
