Megadeth’s former guitarist Marty Friedman sure made it hard to fill his shoes! He’s always had that signature, classical sound to his pieces. This guy is no ordinary guitarist as you can tell. Perhaps one fan said it best, “Marty has more musical ability in his pinky than all of us combined.” Okay, maybe not all but you get the picture. I would actually love to see him in a guitar duel and make even the fastest shredder bow down to him and his awesomeness. Whether it’s about his improvisation techniques or how he can fuse different music styles, when you think of Marty, you think of his sweep picking in Tornado of Souls.

This girl, Maru Martinez, was right. Marty’s bends are killers. Nevertheless, I love how she took it upon herself to cover one insanely epic guitar solo. You don’t just sit down and try to emulate Marty. No sir. But still, kudos to Maru. I can’t wait to listen to more of your covers!
