Another Reason To Watch It

Details have been revealed about the highly anticipated The Beatles: Get Back film. Apparently, the iconic 42-minute rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row will be included in its entirety. Helmed by Lord of  the Rings director Peter Jackson, the movie follows The Fab Four during the making of their penultimate studio album ‘Let It Be’. In addition, it also features unseen footage and unheard audio during their studio sessions.

Ringo Starr said, “I’m really looking forward to this film. Peter is great, and it was so cool looking at all this footage. There was hours and hours of us just laughing and playing music, not at all like the version that came out. There was a lot of joy, and I think Peter will show that. I think this version will be a lot more peace and loving, like we really were.”

Out on September 4 in US and Canada, the film aims to shed light on what actually happened during the recording and to somehow show that The Beatles weren’t exactly falling apart at the time.

Paul McCartney also showed support for the documentary saying, “I am really happy that Peter [Jackson] has delved into our archives to make a film that shows the truth about The Beatles recording together. The friendship and love between us comes over and reminds me of what a crazily beautiful time we had.”
